Is the cello yours or rented? Have you changed the strings since you got it? Old strings will squeek if you don't play them just right. A few minutes (say 5) long bows everyday focusing on a clean, full sound will help a lot.
If there is not enough rosin on the strings, you can feel it. You really have to push into the strings to get a clean sound. Too much is also easily sensed. If you have to pull fast but press very lightly with the bow, there is too much rosin. Playing the bow should be reasonably comfortable and natural (I say reasonably because the position of bowing is not too comfortable and natural to begin with).
Your left hand fingers should press firmly on the strings right to the fingerboard, but not so much as to turn you fingernails white. Use the tips of the finger and not the pads.
Hope this helps.
